Yellow
Yellow Flowers
One of the warm colours, yellow is happy, cheerful and, of course, yellow is mellow!
Bouquets made with Yellow coloured flowers tell a story of hope and happiness and, as a gift, offer someone courage and a bright, cheerful energy into their life. Yellow is also associated with positivity, clarity and creativity, making a yellow bunch perfect for a sense of optimism in an office or workplace.
In times of British war, yellow ribbons were used by women who were waiting for their husband to return from battle, a mark of their inner strength and hopefulness. In times of no internet and no Skype, women wore yellow ribbons through years of waiting without any sign of life - tragically, these symbols of devotion too often turned to marks of remembrance.
In other countries yellow has other meanings, though. In Egypt yellow is the colour of mourning, Mayan traditions associate yellow with the southern direction and in ancient China, it was a colour reserved only for the imperial family.
Yellow is also tied to the zodiac sign Leo – wonderful yellow sunflowers bloom right around a Leo’s birthday. But why wait? Why not give our beautifully hand tied bunch of sunflowers to someone you know today?
